Major Interventions:
- School Construction and Improvement: Supported the construction and improvement of school infrastructure to provide safe, accessible, and child-friendly learning environments for students.
- Health Post Construction: Supported the construction of 2 health posts to improve access to basic health services for rural and underserved communities.
- School Support: Provided infrastructure and educational support to 19 schools in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality, addressing priority needs identified by schools and communities.
- Early Childhood Development (ECD) Support: Supported ECD centres with necessary facilities and materials to promote quality early childhood education and improve learning environments for young children.
- Health Materials and Equipment: Supported the distribution of essential health materials and supplies to strengthen the capacity of local health facilities.
- Food and Humanitarian Support: Distributed food items to poor, marginalized, and vulnerable households, particularly those facing economic hardship and emergencies.
- COVID-19 Response: Provided emergency support during the COVID-19 pandemic across all 14 wards of Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality, including health and essential relief support to vulnerable communities.
- Community Support: Worked closely with local governments, schools, health facilities, community groups, and beneficiaries to identify needs, implement activities, and ensure community ownership and sustainability.
Key Focus:
The project focuses on education, health, humanitarian assistance, community development, and social protection, with particular attention to poor, marginalized, and vulnerable communities. Through long-term support from Nepalhilfe Beilngries e.V., JGSS has contributed to improving school and health infrastructure, access to basic services, early childhood development, and community resilience in Chautara Sangachokgadhi Municipality. The partnership has also enabled timely humanitarian assistance during emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, strengthening support systems for vulnerable households and communities.
